We need UNIX wizards who are interested in VLSI design tools. The Research Triangle area is fast becoming a center for high technology research. There are 3 major universities within a 20 mile radius. It is a short drive to either the ocean or the mountains. The Research Triangle Institute (RTI) is a not-for-profit research institute, with a casual but stimulating work environment. RTI is a participating member of the Microelectronics Center of North Carolina (MCNC). RTI and MCNC strongly support the UNIX environment. The Digital Systems Research Department of RTI does VLSI design for signal processing and fault tolerant digital systems. RTI is embarking on a major program to convert existing VLSI design tools to UNIX and to provide the linkages necessary to form an integrated design package. RTI is using a VAX 11/750 running UNIX and a Ramtek 9400 graphics system. Please reply to this article or contact Debbie Franke 919-541-6830.
