Fellow Netters, We have recently set up a lab of several SE's a LocalTalk ImageWriter and a LaserWriter IINT for use by our undergraduates. This lab is locked with a combination so as to prevent theft but allow our students access at any time. I'm concerned about wholesale printing on the LaserWriter. I would like to have a program to do page accounting on the printer, to discourage waste and perhaps allow us to collect from those who wish to print large documents (like theses, etc.). These computers will be linked (hopefully soon) to our VAX, via a FastPath 4, where we are running AlisaShare. I remember someone mentioning recently a driver that asks for a username/password to use the printer that ran on a Unix host, but we're running VMS. Anybody got any pointers to a solution? How have others of you handled similar situations? Thanks. Michael J.
