Well, I'm not the person to mentioned CommUnity originally (I suspect it was my office-mate) but, since you asked, here's the scoop: CommUnity is an implementation of the Digital Network Architecture (not of DECnet(tm) which is DEC's name for their implementation of same). We have versions for UNIX, Mac and PC/MS-DOS. All three versions use Ethernet and include file transfer, virtual terminal and mail functionality; the UNIX version adds virtual terminal server capability, while Mac and DOS add DDCMP and virtual disk functions.
