Here is an interesting item from AppleLink. Now can someone guess how much
this would cost?

HIGH-SPEED BRIDGE LINKS APPLETALK OVER ISDN

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. -- Solana Electronics has introduced its H-Server
High-performance NetAccess product, a high-speed network bridge that links
AppleTalk networks over ISDN and T-1 connections at synchronous speeds up to
64k bits/sec. AppleTalk users can now share network resources over 56K bit/sec
leased lines, fractional T-1 services, or high-speed switched services such as
switched 56K bit/sec or ISDN.

The Solana H-Server offers high-speed access to AppleTalk peripherals such as
LaserWriters, TOPS and AppleShare file servers, and e-mail. The use of
synchronous communication allows a dramatic increase in throughput over the
equivalent asynchonous rate.

The H-Server is compatible with AT&T, Northern Telecom and NEC ISDN switches
along with switched 56k services available from most metropolitan telephone
companies.

The costs of long distance 56k services such as AT&TUs Accunet and US SprintUs
FON56 are economical and are usually available through local telephone
companys.
