I am trying to install CAP on my UNIX machines and I was wondering if somebody could help me out. I have several Kinetics Boxes connected to an Ethernet. I want to print from my Unix machines to the printers on the various appletalk zones. We currently run K-spool on SunOS3.5, but Kinetics tells me that K-spool will not run under 4.03, so I need to get CAP running on my Sun. To make things simple, assume that I have 1 Fastpath 4, K-star CAP and a SunOS 3.5. What I need is somebody who has a similar situation to send me a copy of their /etc/atalk.local file, their UNIX machine IP address, and the configuration data from the Fastpath. I think I can use that information to make sure that I have things right. NOTE- we are not subnetted. our configuration: Class B net 128.123.X.X Kinetics IP address 128.123.21.4 IP addresses on the appletalk side 128.123.36.X Zone name = Chemistry Ethernet Zone = EtherZone UNIX IP address 128.123.3.5 If possible, you can FAX me the data (after we make sure that your site is compatible).
