Is anyone out there familiar with the KIP/CAP (AppleTalk to Unix) package? We are trying to install it at our site, but are encountering a problem. The main daemons all appeared to compile OK and are running, as well as the Kinetics software. However, there is a problem. I think it must be in the atalk.local or atalkatab files, but I can't figure out what I've done wrong. I've tried just about every possible combination of addresses, but it still doesn't work. The Atalkalog file indicates the ATALKA daemon is started, that it has read the /etc/atalkatab file, then lines like: art build: 1 entires, 64 max zone names take 8 bytes in gateway Then it continues to issue repeated lines like: aaCONF from 128.125.55.129 ***** not in table aaCONF from 128.125.55.129 ***** not in table aaCONF from 128.125.55.129 ***** not in table aaCONF from 128.125.55.129 ***** not in table aaCONF from 128.125.55.129 ***** not in table I've run atalkad -c to check values and everything looks OK there. I assume what the above line means is that the gateway and the daemon are working, but the address 128.125.55.129 is not listed somewhere. That address IS the address of the gateway ( KBOX ) and IS listed in /etc/hosts /etc/atalk.local and /etc/atalkatab. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance, =Steve= robiner@ganelon
