Note: This only applies to people using the 'AUFS Interface' to HyperUnix. The serial interface works correctly. There is a serious bug in all HyperUnix versions prior to 1.5.0 that can on occasion cause all of your mail to be lost. HyperUnix 1.5.0 and the new automac daemons fix this problem. Unfortunately, HyperUnix is no longer available for anonymous ftp. The administrators at this site have removed guest ftp access for reasons unknown. So, how can you get HyperUnix? If you're on the mailing list, you'll get it Real Soon Now. If you send me mail right away, I can add you to the list & you'll get it too. Your other option is to wait until I post HyperUnix to the binaries newsgroup. I'm not going to do that until I'm sure everything is working correctly (end of the week, maybe?). In the mean time, if you use the mail stack, always exit with the 'exit' button in the upper right corner of the mail index card & you'll be okay. My sincerest appologies to anyone who was bitten by this bug. ___\ /___ Greg Anderson ___\ /___ \ \ / / Social Sciences Computing \ \ / / \ /\/\ / University of California, Santa Cruz \ /\/\ / \/ \/ sirkm@ssyx.ucsc.edu \/ \/
