I am yet another person who can't get CAP to run. My configuration is a GatorBox with version 1.4.3 of the GatorKeeper Software. Telnet and AppleShare currently work through the GatorBox. Atlook almost works. I get % atlook abInit: [ddp: 0.03, 61] starting Looking for =:=@* ... % atlook =:=@LocalTalk abInit: [ddp: 0.03, 61] starting Looking for =:=@LocalTalk ... 01 - trwarcadia:AFPServer@* [Net: 0.01 Node:128 Skt:129] 02 - GatorBox01765:GatorBox@* [Net: 0.01 Node:128 Skt:128] 03 - :IPADDRESS@* [Net: 0.01 Node:128 Skt:130] 04 - 104.0.0.68:IPGATEWAY@* [Net: 0.01 Node:128 Skt:130] 05 - EAL PRNTII:LaserWriter@* [Net: 0.01 Node:150 Skt:250] I am not running an atalkatab daemon because the GatorBox doesn't need it. I haven't installed any of the KIP code except for the /etc/atalk.local file which looks like # host's appletalk network, node, zone 3 61 kipzone # bridge's appletalk network, node, and ip address 3 68 104.0.0.68 Do I need to install any KIP software? If so, where do I get it? The shar file in the info-mac directory on sumex.stanford.edu doesn't compile on a Sun. Where do I get a Sun version? My GatorBox configuration is KIP Network Number 3, node 68 Zone name 'kipzone' Routes: Route: type 0, network 3, port 3, IP 104.0.0.0, KIP IP Network connection Ethernet: Address 104.0.0.68, network mask 255.0.0.0, broadcast 104.0.0.0 MacIP: (NBP ARP) Address low 104.0.0.70, high 104.0.0.80 network mask 255.0.0.0, broadcast 104.0.0.0 IP gateway Gateway address 104.0.0.61 The host file on our Sun looks like 100.0.0.60 trwarcadia-R2 # gateway to R2 backbone #100.0.0.61 <Reserved> # Arcadia server-gateway #104.0.0.60 <Reserved> # Arcadia server-gateway 104.0.0.61 trwarcadia loghost datehost mailhost # Sun 3/280 104.0.0.62 helicon # Sun 3/60 104.0.0.63 hermes # Sun 3/60 104.0.0.64 minotaur dumphost # Sun 3/60 104.0.0.65 poseidon # Sun 3/60 104.0.0.66 bonodea # Sun 3/60 104.0.0.67 zeus # Sun 3/50 104.0.0.68 GatorBox01765 # Cayman Systems GatorBox #104.0.0.70-104.0.0.80 <Reserved> # Reserved for MacIP Thanks for any help you can provide.
