Hi all, I tried posting this in comp.sys.mac, but got no replies. Now that I know of this group, maybe my luck will change. Simply put, I am looking for some hard data comparing the various software and hardware Localtalk bridges out there. I've tried Solana R-Servers, and Liason. Both were flaky on the most crucial area, that of bridging to a remote network and then on to a FastPath up to a VAX. The speed required is 19.2 kbaud across the modem connection. Liason was better than Solana in most other respects. So, if you know of other products AND A COMPARISON of said products I would appreciate hearing from you. Please send via e-mail and I will summarize if necessary. Thanks. -- Tim Lapin |Tel: (514) 848-7639 | My opinion is that Computer Centre |INTERNET: timl@maxwell.concordia.ca| my opinion is mine, Concordia University |BITNET: timl@vax2.concordia.ca | all mine.
