[comp.protocols.appletalk] A/UX as a localtalk<>ethertalk bridge

km@mathcs.emory.edu (Ken Mandelberg) (10/15/89)

Now that A/UX supports both ethertalk and the built in localtalk, has
anyone looked at writing a daemon to act as a bridge. It seems very
cost effective where low traffic doesn't justify one of the expensive
Kinetics/Gator/.. bridges.

It would also be nice to modify CAP to run on A/UX so that it could
talk directly to ethertalk and localtalk without the UDP
incapsulation.
