[comp.protocols.appletalk] PC printing

We have several PCs (2-5) that we would like to connect to our appletalk
network for the purpose of using our two Laserwriter NTX's. The PCs primarily
use WordPerfect 5.0 and we would like to have them print over the appletalk
network from within WordPerfect without quitting that application to run a
seperate printing program. We would also like to have these PC print jobs
spooled so that the PC user can continue using Word Perfect while the print
jobs are waiting to print. We would like other applications (e.g. Lotus 1-2-3)
to have the same capabilities, but could live without that degree of generality
if Word Perfect worked well. When we called WordPerfect they said to install
TOPS "on all our machines" and then we could do what we wanted. I assume that
we would need to get the TOPS FlashCard for each PC and then a copy of the TOPS
software for each PC (and some/all Macs?). That seems like an expensive
solution and I've heard there are alternatives to TOPS that may be better (e.g.
IPTs PSN) but I don't know how well they handle printing. Suggestions?
