[comp.protocols.appletalk] Can two FastPaths talk to each other with KSTAR IPTalk?

Kinetics, in their KSTAR software for the FastPath, lets you set up a
FastPath to use IPTalk without requiring an atalkad administrative
host. This is done with their FastPath Manager application. I would
like to have two FastPaths talk to each other using IPTalk only, no
Ethertalk, but so far have not been able to do so. I made sure that
each unit had the same first three bytes in the IP address, and they
have the same Appletalk zone name and network number in the "IPtalk
Interface" section. When I turn on option 5 which says use IPTalk
only, a Mac on a Localtalk can see its own zone and the IPTalk zone but
not the zone that is on the other Localtalk. If I give the same zone
name to the two Localtalks, a Mac can only see the resources on its own
network, not on the other one.

Should I be able to do this without a UNIX administrative host? (The
manual implies this.) If so, how do I get it to work?
