I think I may have an idea as to the answer, but I thought I would ask the question anyway. We have Mac IIs that are relatively close to each other, and are connected in a local appletalk network. One of them has an Ethertalk card, and we are going to buy another one. When is it better to buy a Fastpath, and not buy the card? I assume the use of a Fastpath in an appletalk network would give all macs on the network access to the ethernet. The other thing I figured was that one would use the ethercard if the Mac II was "isolated" from the network, but with the use of phonenet this is not as common (?). Hope the question is clear. -- Louis McDonald Internet: louis@aerospace.aero.org The Aerospace Corp. America OnLine: Louis Mc 213-336-8914
