Dear Novell with Mac users, I would like to know how other people have interpreted the following line in the Netware for Macintosh Installation Supplement: We strongly recommend that you do not directly link file servers of bridges using LocalTalk or EtherTalk media. If file servers or bridges installed with the Netware for Macintosh VAPs advertise the same services over the same cabling, the messages will collide and cancel out. As a result, workstations attached to the cabling will not be able to access the Netware for Macintosh services that have been lost on the wire. (p. 2-2) My main concern is whether to install the VAPs on just one machine, or multiple machines. My present problem is having workstations get cut off from the fileservers for no reason. Other times, the zones disappear. I can usually (active word) login into my server with the \ VAPs, but the others give more problems. Is this just coincedence? My new version VAPs are on the way, but do they belong one on server or all the servers? Thanks for any insight anyone can offer.... DAVE david@cwlim.ins.cwru.edu
