I am a Senior Computer Science major at University of Wisconsin - Madison. I will graduate this May (1983). Naturally, I am looking for a job, like most of the rest of the world.... I have a strong background in linguistics, natural languages, compilers, operating systems, and database systems. I also have two years' course work in Mechanical Engineering under my belt (before I changed my major). I am looking for work in compiler design, natural language processing, or graphics and communications. I am not a 'stereotypical' computer science major, whatever that is. I am very literate, I have artistic flair, and I am very imaginative and motivated. I have experience with, and consider myself proficient in, Pascal, FORTRAN, C, BASIC, and a couple of different assemblers. I have worked on DEC and Data General equipment primarily, although I have experience with IBM, Harris, and my 6502-based Atari home computer. I don't play rogue, watch T.V., smoke, drink, or flame on the net. I would like to wind up in New England or the Pacific Northwest or the Minneapolis or Wisconsin area, although I'll go anywhere if you can convince me it's worth going.... I'll send a resume to anybody who is interested. Thanks in advance, as people are fond of saying. ---------- Glenn Reid ---------- ..seismo!uwvax!reid reid@wisconsin (ARPA) Home: 529 W.
