[comp.protocols.appletalk] MacTCP, nntp, smtp, the PUSH bit and Pyramid's

bjb@pyramid.com (Bruce Beare) (02/09/90)

A while ago, there was a thread about Pyramid's not communicating with
TCP/IP machines that never set the push bit. This was visible via ftp to
certain hosts and via certain MacTCP applications. This (questionable)
'problem' has now been fixed on the pyramids. Pyramid support personal
will soon have code fixes for 'recent' releases.

The problem that I initially found this problem with was that the
Macintosh netnews reader stack -- available from APDA -- would not work to
pyramid hosts. It now works.
