[comp.protocols.appletalk] atis won't work anymore

after running cap5 atis and auf with k-star FP4 sucsesfully for a while, atis
won't run anymore, althou there was no change in configuration. Error message from atis is:

abInit: [ddp:  12.00, 1] starting
atis: Fri Feb 16 15:30:59 1990 Reply num max for lkup reply is 5 (based on 107)
atis: Fri Feb 16 15:31:00 1990 NIS: NIS socket not available: error -1: Address already in use
atis: Fri Feb 16 15:31:00 1990 ECHO: ECHO socket not available: error -1: Address already in use
atis: Fri Feb 16 15:31:00 1990 Couldn't establish nis or echo socket, nothing to do

Can anybody give me a hint where the problem comes from ?

Some process has already opened the UDP port ( try "netstat -a" to verify
that the port is already in use). On SUNOS4.0 you can "reserve" the port
if you put an appropriate entry in "/etc/services".
