[comp.protocols.appletalk] MacTCP Hosts file configuration que

pwrg6481@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu (02/20/90)

There was a bug documented in version 2.3 of NCSA Telnet (which therefore
affects tn3270 since it uses the same code):

"With the MacTCP drivers, NCSA Telnet locks down the UDP port used
for domain name lookups. This means that only the first program loaded
under multifinder will get to do domain lookups. Hosts in the
configuration file are not restricted."

I assume this bug will be fixed next release.
