I would like some information on how to limit access to printers on a network. We have numerous zones ( Using NRC localtalk-Broadband routers ) and one of these is for student use. We would like to limit which printers the students can have access to. Here are some possible solutions, does anyone know if there is a implimentation of any of these availiable ? 1- Hide a complete zone from the students so they cannot access anything in it. ( least perferred solution as we really only want to limit access to printers) 2- Hide selected printers so they cannot see them in the chooser ( This is the perferred solution ) 3- Have the print server reject documents from certain zones ( This solution would suffice ) 4- Require unique passwords for users to select a printer. ( each user sould have his own password ) If anyone knows of any thing available which will do any of these I would appreciate it if you let me know.
