[comp.protocols.appletalk] QuickMail 2.2 and AppleTalk routing

meyer@HOGG.CC.UOREGON.EDU (04/11/90)

Has anyone seen the following behavior with QuickMail 2.2:
First, we are routing AppleTalk in our cisco routers. We
have one zone (one name, that is) representing our campus
backbone. This zone has 3 appletalk networks associated
with it. The problem we have observed is the following:
When a QuickMail workstation (i.e., someone who wants to
read their mail) is in the same zone as the mail center,
but on a different appletalk network (i.e., seprated by a
cisco router), the QuickMail init finds the mailcenter
fine (when booting). However, when the user later tries
to fire up the DA (QuickMail), s/he gets a mail center
	not found error.

	Anyone seen this?

	Thanks,

	Dave
