Hence, you cannot see what you are typing. The second "problem" was caused by a "fsize=12" command in my config.tel file. Since I also had a "vtwidth=80" command, the window was made large enough to accomodate the 12 point font, which is too large for a small Mac screen. Removing the "fsize=12" command changes the font to the default Monaco 9, which works fine. The first problem is still there.
