MISS026@ECNCDC.BITNET (GREENY) (07/03/90)
Hi all: I was wondering if there was any software to allow one to backup an AppleShare at pre-scheduled times when network usage is low (i.e. 3AM, when I'm all comfy behind the Mac screen :-> ).... So far, I have tried RetroSpect, but it doesn't engage (version 1.1), and just sits there and notifies me via the Notification Manager, and I have tried the MaxStream 2.0 software (a CDEV) which works just fine until it launches itself -- then all hell breaks loose with a BOMB ID = 15, and I have to reboot the server. Any chance at all of this happening automatically, or must I keep doing it manually by dropping the server each night? Please respond to me via direct mail, as I'm not on this list usually.... Thanx in advance! bye for now but not for long Greeny BITNET: MISS026@ECNCDC Internet: MISS026%ECNCDC.BITNET@CUNYVM.CUNY.EDU GEnie: GREENY AOL: GREENY1 Compu$erve: 72567,456 (I think...)
