Chooser+ is a patch to the Chooser (ver 3.5) that adds support to hierarchical structure of the net using user interface similar to the Standard File. For example: suppose the net consists of 5 zones: 3 zones in university 1: univ1.physics.office univ1.physics.lab univ1.chemistry 2 zones in university 2: univ2.build1 univ2.build2 The standard Chooser would simply display those zones in a single (flat) list. When using Chooser+, this flat list is replaced by a popup menu (to show the current level, like the one in Standard File) and a new list (to show the zones and domains in the current level). On entry, the diplay would be: Network <-- the popup menu univ1 <-- the list univ2 After double clicking on univ1: univ1 <-- the popup menu physics <-- the list. Note that physics appears as a domain (it has a small chemistry to mark this) and chemistry as a zone (it has another icon). The user can double click physics now (and see the zones within), or click the popup and move upward (back to Network). The format of the zone names can be configured. The current version is 1.0b. I look for system administrators with a large net who would like to test Chooser+ on their net. Also, what's the newest version of the Chooser? I have version 3.5. Please reply DIRECTLY to me. ------- Eran Reshef, Micro Department, Computation Center, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer - Sheva, Israel. Bitnet : RESHEF1@BGUVM.BITNET
