[comp.protocols.appletalk] NCSA Telnet 2.2 fails on Portable - why?

tjfs@tadtec.uucp (Tim Steele) (07/19/90)

It gets as far as trying to open a connection, then bombs with a
System Error ID=12.

Anyone seen this / know why?

Thanks

Tim

I have a file I saved regarding a patch for this (rummages around)...

Caveat emptor - I have never used it so I don't know if it works.

It's a bug in Colo(u)r QuickDraw handling code. NCSA did sonething it
shouldn't have, and the Portable is the first Mac to object (in the
"Classic Mac Manner").
