Has anyone used Messages? It is a utility that runs on your Mac and lets you know when your UNIX account has gotten mail. It is similar to the utilities 'biff', 'write', and 'wall'. We tried to compile the UNIX programs and it failed. If anyone has been able to get this system to work, PLEASE send me email. Thanks in advance. kotula@pender.ee.upenn.edu --OR-- chip@pender.ee.upenn.edu

The code worked with a couple of minor changes (all the man page filenames ended with ".l" instead of ".1" which drove make crazy). The biggest problem is the documentation, which leaves a lot to the imagination. On the other hand the author responds to mail and is quite helpful in getting things going. -- "The universe is not only queerer than we imagine, but it is queerer than we can imagine." J.B.S.
