3 June 83 Summer Job: Designing and teaching computer activities at Legacy International Youth Program, a unique, international summer program for children and youths ages 9 - 18. This is NOT a computer camp. Computers are among a wide variety of offerings including organic gardening, ham radio, weaving, journalism, video, international cooking, journalism and many others. The program is designed to bring forth in participants high ideals, leadership qualities, and a global perspective. Computer activities will include programming instruction in LOGO and PASCAL (on Commodore 64's and Apple II's), laying the groundwork for a microcomputer based Legacy International Youth Network, use of word processing software for journalism, and use of business software on the Legacy General Store. Applicant must be a competent programmer and a good teacher. S/he should also be flexible and willing to work hard. Dates: 15 June - 15 August.
