HI- We have a nation-wide network that is gradually moving from being bridged to routed, but still have trouble occsionally when an uninformed somebody plugs in a FastPath or Gatorbox etc. with the wrong net number defined for the Ethernet side, conflicting with every other router and causing chaos everywhere. Does anybody have any good strategies for solving such a problem, other than telephoning everybody imaginable to ask if they know anything? Yesterday we had such a case and were able to ID that it was a GatorBox by its Ethernet hardware address, but it was tough to track down after that. InterPoll wouldn't work long enough to show us what was on the localtalk side (which should have been a good hint) because the conflicting net numbers caused it to quit trying every 5 seconds or so Hopeful, Gary White gwhite@arco.com
