I have just built CAP and UAB from the rutgers sources. UAB -D 10 seems to work as it finds all the zones on our nets. getzones works happily. "atlook zone" works if zone is not the current one. with a none local zone most of the time it returns a list of services in that zone. When the zone is local UAB dies. eg local zone is CS.GRAD %atlook CS.Staff abInit: [ddp: 0.29, 1] starting 01 - staff:AFPServer@* [Net: 0.23 Node:218 Skt:253] 02 - NTX Spooler:LaserWriter@* [Net: 0.23 Node:218 Skt:252] 03 - grad printer:LaserWriter@* [Net: 0.23 Node:218 Skt:251] % %atlook abInit: [ddp: 0.29, 1] starting Looking for =:=@* ... % UAB -d 10 produces ..... look bridge node 230 at hash [bkt 52, d 0] uab: 11:15:48 09/28/90 NEW RTMP: port 268493056, source 230 uab: 11:15:52 09/28/90 nbp lkup net 0.29 for zone CS.GRAD uab: 11:15:52 09/28/90 lookup for CS.GRAD [16,0] uab: 11:15:52 09/28/90 nbp lkup net 0.29 for zone CS.GRAD uab: 11:15:52 09/28/90 lookup for CS.GRAD [16,0] repeat this until no stack space is left uab: 11:15:52 09/28/90 nbp lkup net 0.29 for zone CS.GRAD uab: 11:15:52 09/28/90 lookup for CS.GRAD [16,0] uab: 11:42:10 09/28/90 nbp lkup net 0.29 for zone CS.GRAD grow failed because stack limit exceeded, pid 3174, proc uab ts = 0x21, ds = 0x18, ss = 0x80 Segmentation fault (core dumped) Our network consists of a cisco router with 6 ethernet ports and about 25 KFP IV's and the odd gator box. The segment with the host running UAB has no services (no servers or laserwriters). Can anyone help? Rob Burrowes rob@cs.aukuni.ac.nz
