                             SOFTWARE ENGINEERS AND
                             TRAINING PROFESSIONALS
                          USENIX CONFERENCE ATTENDEES

Bunker Ramo Information Systems, an Allied company, has been
producing landmark on-line transaction processing systems
for financial institutions for over 50 years.

We are now developing new computer products and services,
using advanced technologies, for transaction processing and
office automation. These efforts involve clustered intelli-
gent terminal systems (M68000, Z80, etc.), running under
UNIX, with applications written in C. Also significant is
our redevelopment of one of the nation's largest telecommun-
ications networks through the implementation of multiple VAX
processors in node sites throughout the U.S. We use the
most current methods, systems and tools (e.g., VAX 11/780's
(UNIX V7, Berkeley 4.1), HP 64000 micro development systems,
etc.) to provide a highly productive, user-friendly develop-
          ment environment,

The most recent development at Bunker Ramo is the evolution
of our training department from exclusively a training fa-
cility to a revenue-producing profit center. We are now
developing and offering elementary and advanced courses in
UNIX and C to the general public.

There are immediate openings in new product engineering at
various staff, project management and management levels, and
in our training department for software instructors.

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING CANDIDATES must have at least three
years' software development experience at the detail design
level, using C or other block-structured languages, such as
PASCAL, PL-1 or ALGOL. Experience with UNIX internals and/or
software production tools is highly desirable.

SOFTWARE INSTRUCTOR CANDIDATES should have at least one year
of user or development experience with UNIX and/or a
knowledge of the C language. Prior experience in training is
a strong plus. You'll have the chance to participate in
course development, selection and implementation. As a ma-
jor contributor in this new venture, you will provide UNIX/C
training to our personnel and customers alike.

Our modern Trumbull, Ct. headquarters and development center
combine the pleasures of country living and easy access to
major Eastern cities -- AND NO STATE INCOME TAX!

Starting salaries are fully commensurate with your experi-
ence. We also offer a comprehensive benefits and relocation
program befitting a major division of a Fortune 50 corpora-
          tion.

If you have the qualifications and the desire to work on the
leading edge of today's technology, I would like to meet
with you at the USENIX Conference on Wednesday, Thursday or
          Friday (July 13, 14 or 15) in Room 633 at the Hilton-Harbour
          Castle Hotel in Toronto, Canada.

If you are unable to attend, or if you would like more in-
formation, please send your resume in confidence to
