Since there have been several articles asking about Telnet over AppleTalk from a PC, I thought that I would point out a commercial product that will allow this. We sell a version of TCP/Connect (for the PC) that runs over AppleTalk boards. Does TN3270, VT220, and Tek4014. Give us a call at the phone number below, be sure to ask for the AppleTalk version of our PC product. Otherwise you will be pointed at FTP Software as a provider of a more complete PC TCP/IP package. Ours is cheaper and provides some functionality that theirs doesn't, but FTP has a much more complete set of applications. Anyway, hope this helps all of you looking for PC TCP/IP over AppleTalk. -- Kurt Baumann InterCon Systems Corporation 703.709.9890 Creators of fine TCP/IP products 703.709.9896 FAX for the Macintosh.

Stanford's SU-PCIP works well over LocalTalk. I use this from an AT clone (with a TOPS card) and a Zenith 386/20 (with Apple's card). If you're a noncommercial site, you may want to investigate this product. I believe the contact at Stanford is Andy Maas (jessica.stanford.edu).
