I have the native Ethertalk CAP release 2 running on a SPARC which has the Optical Disk of a NeXT NFS mounted for archive service. I'd rather not put CAP on the NeXT as well, but I'd like to have the OD accessible as an archive volume from the Macs. However, if I set up my afpvols to make the mounted file system an AFP volume, I crash every time I try to write to it. (Well, AUFS dies and times out anyway.) The Sun can write to the OD fine, and the Macs can write to the Sun. Is what I am trying to do even possible? Thanks for any help, John Lynch
