I am considering using MacPathwayNFS by Wollongong to allow a group of Macs to use a SUN Sparcstation as a file server. The Macs are on ethernet, running MacTCP and NCSA Telnet. The SUNs are also hanging off the ethernet. Has anyone had any experience with MacPathwayNFS, good or bad? Does MacPathwayNFS use IP packets to communicate? Our network administrator will not allow any apple packets on the network. Any insights on this product would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. R. I have received inquiries from others who are also interested in evaluating MacPathwayNFS from Wollongong. I have been told that this product does infact communicate with IP packets. I have also been informed of another product called NFS/Share by InterCon which does the same thing as MacPathwayNFS. The InterCon people tell me their product behaves more like a Mac user would expect it to because it is controlled through the chooser instead of the control panel. Has anyone seen or used NFS/Share? What are your impressions? Has anyone compared these two products? Which did you prefer? Any insights on either of these products would be greatly appreciated. R.
