Thanks to everybody who answered my first (dumb) question. Unfortunately I have another, hopefully more interesting, problem. We have some Macs and Suns connected on an ethernet with a Kinetics Fastpath bridge. A couple laserwriters are hanging off the appletalk net. We want to be able to print from the Suns to the laserwriters. I've obtained and compiled the KIP and CAP codes from Columbia and Stanford successfully. I installed KIP on the host and downloaded the binaries onto the Fastpath and the Macs can see the printers w/ Chooser and can print to them. I installed CAP on the host and got up to where I test it w/atlook and atlooklws. These both start up and then end w/o reporting anything found. I think I've set up the atalk.local and atalkatab files correctly (plus have run several permutations of configurations to check) and the atalkad daemon doesn't complain. It SEEMS like everything was installed OK but atlook can't find anything. Another ominous sign is that I don't get any response when I ping the address of the Fastpath (should I?). But I can still print sucessfully from the Macs. Any ideas on what is going on, who isn't talking to whom?
