I have never used the word HELP! in a subject line before but this problem is driving me insane. I have an SE that refuses to see the network. I.E. the chooser sees no zones nor printers and TOPS and Public Folder see no other users. I have tried the following things, not necessarily in the order I tried them: 1) Tried another Macintosh on the same network connection - OK 2) Moved the SE to another known good network connection - No luck 3) Connected the SE to a laserwriter directly with a serial cable - OK 4) Connected the SE to a laserwriter with phonenet connectors - OK 5) Reloaded the system - No luck 6) Reformated the hard disk and reloaded the system - No luck 7) Boot from a virgin original apple system disk - No luck 8) Replaced the phonenet connector - No luck 9) Had the mother board replaced - No luck 10) Had repair people run the official apple diagnostic programs with attendant hardware loopbacks - everything checked out OK 11) Replaced the RAM modules - No Luck 12) Zapped the PRAM - No luck 13) Rebuilt the desktop - No Luck 14) Checked for virus's with Disinfectant 2.4 - None 15) Checked for multiple systems - None 16) Prayed - Didn't help 17) Swore - Also didn't help 18) Prayed to a different god - No luck Vital Stats =========== Plain SE, 4 meg, 20 meg HD, non-extended keyboard System 6.0.5 Laser Driver 6.0.1 Kinetics Phonenet connector Farrallon Star Controller Kinetics Fastpath PLEASE HELP.
