UNIX WIZARD WANTED TRW in Redondo Beach California needs a UNIX wizard to join an internally funded R&D project. The Software Productivity Project is commited to improving the productivity of TRW's software developers through a broad range of activities including improved software, hardware, communications, procedures, and even better furniture. This project was started in January 1981 and currently supports 16 people. Our hardware environment is excellent including multiple VAXen (4.1BSD), a local area network, graphics terminals, laser printer, etc. Our software development efforts so far have been quite broad, ranging from tools to support the software lifecycle to a word processor. In the last half of 1983 we expect to be exploring graphics and personal workstations. We already have a number of UNIX programmers and wizards in-house, but we are one wizard short. The job includes software development, configuration management, and systems administration. Expertise in C, UNIX, and a good understanding of software development are required. Some experience with VAX hardware is preferred but not essential. Minimum educational requirement is a Bachelor's degree.
