[comp.protocols.appletalk] Finger client for POP server

andrew@cs.uwa.oz.au (01/23/91)

Hello.

We've recently installed a POP server on the departmental Sun network, and
would like to know whether there is a "finger" client for the Macintosh which
would allow a Mac to query who is currently logged in on the Sun network.

Thanks in advance.

TechMail from MIT is a POP client and includes a finger function. The
latest version 1.1 is available from net-dist.mit.edu

Note that unlike most other POP clients this one is a real application, not
(just) a hypercard stack.

For _Australian_ readers who want to test it out, the older 1.0 version is
at munnari.oz.au in pub/mac/techmail (save the satellite link)
