I'm posting this for someone in another department here who doesn't have
access to news. Here at STI we don't support printing from UNIX machines to
LW's on AT networks. So, I have a fleeting knowledge of such things from
reading subject lines in news, but am still very ignorant. Normally I'd wade
through the stuff, but he needs a reply fast.
Basically, this friend of mine has a bunch of Apollo's on an Ethernet, and a
bunch of Mac's on a tw pr AppleTalk. I'm pretty sure they already have a KFPS-4
hooking the AT up to Ethernet. They want to buy a printer, put it on one of
the nets, and use some inexpensive hardware or cheap software to print from one
net to the other. What's the best way to do this?
If I understand it, he could have a LW on the AT, and use CAP to let the
Apollo's print to it, right? If so, where can he go to get CAP (ftp sites,
etc.).
My apologies if this subject has been hashed over a hundred times, email
replies to save bandwidth.
