How do I talk to the portmapper on a unix machine from my mac. I connect to port 111 on the unix machine ( it connects OK) but I have no idea on what to send to get it to tell me the port number of a service. I've looked in the SUN network programming guide but it doesn't give this information. Chris McNeil University of New Brunswick cjm@unb.ca
