VLSI SYSTEMS RESEARCH

     Tektronix, Inc. is looking for  hardware  and  software
engineers  to  participate  in VLSI design, research and CAD
tool development in the Integrated Systems Group of the Com-
puter Research Laboratory.

  o Senior Digital Systems Designer

    Research  and  develop  system-level  architectures  for
    advanced  computer  graphic  systems.  Provide technical
    leadership in the VLSI implementation of highly parallel
    architectures.    Advanced   degree   in  EE  or  CS  or
    equivalent  and  proven  ability  to  contribute  in   a
    research environment.

  o Senior VLSI Researcher

    Perform research and development in VLSI  CAD  tools  or
    VLSI  architectures  as  a  participant  in an academic/
    industrial consortium chartered to advance VLSI technol-
    ogy.   Advanced  degree  in EE or CS or equivalent and a
    proven ability to contribute in a research environment.

  o VLSI CAD System Designer

    Participate in the development of an advanced integrated
    environment for VLSI application accelerators.  Advanced
    degree in EE or CS or equivalent and experience in  VLSI
    CAD.

  o VLSI CAD System Programmer

    Be responsible for the development and enhancement of  a
    variety  of  VLSI  CAD  tools  to support VLSI research.
    Position may also include VLSI circuit  design.   Degree
    in EE or CS or equivalent and a knowledge of VLSI CAD.

     The Computer Research Lab is a part  of  the  corporate
Applied  Research Laboratories, whose function is to explore
and develop the potential capabilities of emerging technolo-
gies,  and to provide technology-based product opportunities
for our operating divisions.
