	  VMS WIZARD NEEDED AT LOS ALAMOS NATIONAL LABORATORY


The Network Engineering group at Los Alamos is looking for an experienced
systems programmer with extensive knowledge of and experience with VAXs
and VMS.  This individual would work with a team of hardware and software
engineers developing and maintaining computer networking and
communications hardware and software for the Los Alamos Integrated
Computing Network.  Primary responsibilities would be to track VMS releases
and upgrades; upgrade Los Alamos software with new releases of VMS; manage
one software development VAX and several other dedicated application VAXs;
and provide VMS consulting to VAX system managers throughout the
laboratory.

Applicants should have extensive professional level systems programming
experience and have a through knowledge of VMS and the VAX hardware.
Must have programming experience with Macro, Bliss, and Fortran.
Experience with DECnet and local area networks is highly desirable.

A B.S. in computer science or equivalent education
and experience will meet minimum educational requirements.

A DOE security clearance will be required.
