[comp.protocols.appletalk] More help with CAP IPtalk please!

ted@kadabra.mitre.org (Ted Ede) (03/28/91)

Many thanks to David Hornsby and Antonio Querubin for their speedy
replies to my previous message.

I think I have followed their instructions and set things up properly
for IPtalk and I still have problems with atlook. (It returns
absolutely nothing.) Do I have to do anything after making programs
and creating atalk.local before I run atlook? Can anyone give me any
debugging hints or things to try? I'd really like to get IPtalk working.

Here's (hopefully) all of the info:

My concern is the "*" in the IPtalk zone name. The fp manager says
that a "*" is acceptable in the Ethertalk zone name. It also says
that the IPtalk zone name can be left blank (not a "*") and it will
get it from the Ethertalk zone name. Our administrator assures me
that the "*" in the IPtalk zone is just fine in and it is something
that I'm doing wrong.

any clues?
