Here is an announcement that I received on what looks like what
may be a hot new conference. It is called:
Mactivity '91: The Macintosh Connectivity Conference
"Focusing on the Needs of Mac Networking Professionals"

Winehouse Computer Company will be presenting mactivity '91: The Macintosh
Connectivity Conference, July 23-25 1991 at the Santa Clara Convention
Center,Santa Clara, CA.
The conference will have over 50 technical sessions addressing such diverse
topics as Mac to Vax Connectivity, Macintosh and the OSI Environment, The
Viability of LocalTalk, Alternative Applications for the AppleTalk Network
System, New Directions in Client/Server Technology, How to Design AppleTalk
Networks, and several others.
Sessions will be lead by industry experts and journalists from around the US
and Canada. Keynote addresses will include: Back in the Forefront - the Role
of the N&C at Apple Computer by Jim Groff, director N&C products, Apple
Computer and Future Directions for The AppleTalk Network System by Reese
Jones, President and Founder, Farallon Computing.
Additionally, a series of hands-on sessions in the "Connectivity Classroom"
will be lead by various vendors, as well as an extensive product showcase
featuring exclusively Macintosh connectivity products.
Winehouse expects to attract 1,000 attendees and 60 networking vendors to the
