I am trying to provide services to a Macintosh over a modem line. I have a Salana R-server connecting the modem line onto the appletalk. This is in turn connected to a Multigate to reach the rest of the world. The problem I have is in trying to establish a telnet session from the remote Mac. NCSA telnet times out trying to connect and displays "No response from Gateway". The problem appears to be that because the remote Mac is on a different appletalk sub-net than the Multigate IPgateway, with a different appletalk network number, the gateway will not/can not talk to it. Does anyone know if this the problem, or is the some way round this. I need to establish a telnet session to talk to an intended host service. I could establish this through an intermediate host if necessary, but we have other problems here with the Cterm based terminal emulators. Martin ccnicholls@uqvax.cc.uq.oz.au
