Ever since upgrading to LW 6.1 (Macs at 6.0.7) and LW 7.0 for those on Sys 7 (me) we have rather slow (at times) throughput from our AppleShare print server. The server is on LocalTalk as is the LaserWriter IINT. No suprising. I just created a three line test with Word 4.00b. One line was in each of Times, NewYork, and New Century Schoolbook. Saved the postscript file. The saved file was 603K in size. Now maybe if I had printed it the file would have been small and the large size is purely an artifact of the test (where art thou Heisenberg) but something does seem suspicious. Also at times after completing a document, the server seems to stall; it actually claims it is still printing the file. This seems to a different error to the one above. Anyone got any ideas.
