Last night I had some strange behavior from my Aufs server
(cap+/cap50/aufs.rpi) on Sun OS 4.1.1. Working along fine when I went
to save I got an error "Could not save - file or folder locked".
Turns out neither the file or the folder is locked, my privileges have
not changed, my Unix permissions were unchanged (-rwxr-xr-x) but when
I went to save from my application or copy a file from the mac to the
server I got the locked error. I could create folders fine on the
server, it just had a problem with files. The server disk was not
full. I have multiple server volumes that I use. This problem
occured with any of the volumes that were subdirectories of my home
dir (they are in separate subtrees) but did not occur on volumes that
were separate from my home directory. The aufs log file had no
interesting messages. Any one got any clues?
