For a change of pace on this net I'd like to ask if anyone out there has any information or experience with Legal (as in LAW not lawful) expert systems. I myself am from the engineering disciplines, but the Law School here is interested in developing a learning tool with a bank of legal precedences as the rule set. The inference engine will be designed by the students as part of the legal argument entered to the computer "judge". The concept sounded so interesting I thought I'd probe the nets and see if there were any of you out there that had some ideas for starting points.
