Lachman Associates, Inc. (LAI) is a systems software development and consulting
firm. We have a significant number of openings for systems programmers of
all levels of experience. We have been in business for 7 years and employ over
45 consultants. Our primary goal is to do projects that are interesting
to our staff.
Sample of a few of the projects available:
1) Development of new, real-time, message-oriented operating systems
that allow Unix(tm) compatibility for applications programs.
2) Development of compilers, assemblers, code optimizers and
code patching systems running under Unix.
3) Perform lead roles in the architecture, design and simulation
of new state-of-the-art VLSI-based processors.
4) Evaluation of human factors aspects of man-machine interfaces
including color graphic displays and voice/audio output.
5) Documentation coordination, evaluation and marketing support
for new products.
6) Consulting users on the use of sophisticated computational facilities
utilizing Unix, MVS, and other mainframe operating systems.
7) Porting Unix commands and utilities to new environments.
We have offices near Chicago and Denver. We offer excellent salaries and
benefits, and have in some cases relocated people from outside of the U.S.
We have openings for recent graduates (BS, MS or PhD) in Computer Science
and Computer Engineering -- and in some cases may be able to hire non-US
residents.
We are also looking for Unix system software developers regardless of
educational level -- if one can demonstrate sufficient system programming
skills.
We also have a number of openings for technical management, project management
and technical marketing personnel. We have professional growth opportunities
within our firm not only to those interested in management and marketing,
but also for our consultants and computer scientists with purely technical
interests.
