The University of Maryland was recently awarded 4.2 million dollars
by the National Science Foundation to develop the hardware and
software for a parallel processing laboratory.   We will be 
buying things like lots of Vaxes, Sun's, Lisp Machines, Pyramids, Ridges,
etc., to augment our current 2 780's, ethernet, arpanet, etc. system.
The three new permanent positions now open are Laboratory Director,
Software Specialist, and Hardware Specialist.  Salaries
are negotiable.  Working conditions are informal academic research (nice!).
If you like to build new things in Unix, play with fancy hardware,
and work with a lot of smart people, this is for you.
