The University of Kent at Canterbury (UK) has funds for a one-year Visiting
Fellowship, to start either in April or September 1984.  The Computing
Laboratory at Kent has eighteen full time academic staff and the current 
research interests include local area networks, software tools, functional
programming, graphics and formal methods.  The equipment of the Laboratory
includes three VAXs running UNIX.  The fellow may have research interests in
any area of computer science.  He will be required to take part in the
Computer Science teaching programme, the total work load over the year being
about fifty hours of lecturing together with associated marking, practical
classes and project supervision.

Salary, which will depend on age and experience, will be competitive.
