[net.jobs] Software Development Opportunities at Fortune

crane@fortune.UUCP (John Crane) (03/22/84)

Fortune is currently looking for experienced people in the following
areas:
	kernel
	dbms
	networking
	graphics
	spreadsheet

I am primarily responsible for spreadsheet development, but I will pass
along inquiries in other areas to the responsible manager.

I am looking for somebody to maintain and develop spreadsheet-like
products. This a project manager level position. I want somebody who can
develop a spreadsheet on the internals level, but who is also capable of
testing the finished product and interpreting the results. In other words,
somebody who knows spreadsheets from both the development AND application
angles.

I want somebody who can communicate well both orally and written. Somebody
who programs in UNIX and C but writes in speaks in English.

If you have developed a spreadsheet before or have experience porting them
to different systems or played a role on a spreadsheet development team and
saw things you wanted to change or improve on but you couldn't because you
weren't the person in charge, take heart. You may yet have your chance to
shine.

I am also interested in good systems-type programmers or utilities
programmers with a business background. Maybe you worked a couple of years
as a consultant or you run VisiCalc a lot on your home computer.

Please reply with resume directly to me. I am
